SweepLab — last updated: 2 September 2026
The short version: SweepLab does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Your measurements never leave your Mac. This page explains the details.
The SweepLab app
Microphone and audio input. SweepLab uses the microphone or audio input you select solely to record measurement sweeps while a measurement is running. Audio is processed entirely on your Mac. It is never transmitted anywhere, and no audio is recorded outside of a measurement you start yourself. macOS asks for your permission before the app can access any audio input.
Measurements and settings. Your measurements, display settings, and microphone calibration files are stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's own container. They are never uploaded. Deleting a measurement in the app deletes it from your Mac; deleting the app removes its container.
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. SweepLab requires no account or registration. The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party frameworks that phone home. It makes no network connections of its own.
Purchases. The optional full-version unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple handles payment and provides us no personal information about you. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. SweepLab itself only receives an anonymous confirmation from Apple that the purchase exists.
The sweeplab.app website
This website hosts no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. Like virtually all web servers, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and operational purposes; these are not used to identify visitors and are deleted automatically.
Support email
If you email support@sweeplab.app, we receive the information you choose to send (your email address and message). It is used only to answer you, never shared with third parties, and deleted once no longer needed for support.
Children
SweepLab is a technical measurement tool with no social features, no user content, and no data collection; it is not directed at children and processes no data from anyone.
Changes
If a future version of SweepLab ever changes any of the above — for example, by adding optional crash reporting — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be clearly described.
